Virus Performance Wear 1

There are very few things that pique my interest these days in the performance wear industry. Very few are cutting edge in my opinion. Until I was introduced to Virus.

Virus is a bio ceramic nano-infused performance wear that helps with endurance and recovery. Two very important things when you are trying to hit a fitness goal.

As it happens, I’m preparing for a standard (olympic) triathlon this coming September so I have 2 very important goals:

  1. Lose a lot of weight – I’m overweight at 200bs and I’m just 5’7” tall
  2. Improve strength and endurance – to make sure I finish the triathlon within a specific time frame.

With that, I’m trying to muster tools that would help me get to where I need to be. One of them is investing in a fitness watch – so I got the Garmin Fenix 5. It’s been helping me get my butt out of bed and work out so far.

The other one is actually much more important – since my muscles tend to hurt a lot after a good work out – I need something to help me recover quickly and work out like a machine everyday.

Virus was introduced to me in an event where I spoke earlier this year. I read about it and how bioceramic helps with recovery. It turns out that bioceramic is one of the minerals that can take, hold and send back Far Infrared energy from our body.

Far Infrared was something that I didn’t know existed – that’s how naive I was before even considering Virus. So let me try to explain what Far Infrared is briefly:

Far Infrared is a form of wave energy that we naturally emit from our body – this energy gently heals, soothes, stimulates and detoxify’s the body over time. The usual sources of Far Infrared come from Far Infrared saunas – and that’s pretty much it.

The thing is, we naturally absorb it as well but we don’t absorb our own Far Infrared energy because we emit it outward.

Virus bio ceramic performance wear is able to take this outward Far Infrared energy and emit it back to our body. The performance wear is skin-tight which is not too flattering for me since I have tons of belly fat – and then some.

That said, the design of the apparel is very, very cool. I bought the X-Form series which has a huge ‘X’ marked at the back that pulls the fabric towards it – helping me maintain a good posture.

Of course, the skeptic in me couldn’t believe something that’s too good to be true. So there’s only one way to really know if this thing works – get myself a batch of Virus performance wear. And that’s exactly what I did.

I bought 4 X-Form long sleeves, 1 X-Form short sleeve and 3 bio ceramic pants. I made sure to work out throughout the week (it’s only been one week that the Virus performance wears as of this writing).

Virus Performance Wear X Form

First, I did my chest routine in the gym – wrecking my chest muscles in the process and expecting it to hurt like hell in the next three days as it recovers. I wore the Virus X-Form to sleep. It did not hurt the next day and it actually did not hurt worse the next. This is my first instance of the bio ceramic magic.

Next is leg day. I made sure to put tons of weight in my hamstring pulls and pushes as well as stretching my legs’ resistance using a squat and lunges super set. I expected my legs to suffer for a week. The next day, there was no pain so I tried to climb up and down the stairs to work just to be sure. Zero. There was no pain at all. It seems as if my legs have fully recovered in a night instead of 7 days.

After that is wrecking my shoulders – 6 sets of 15 reps each for the shoulders with free weight dumbbells and then 3 sets of 15 reps of face-pulls. My shoulders felt rock hard but had the depressing strength of a jellyfish afterwards – so I knew it was about to hurt like hell for the next 2 to 3 days. Slept with the Virus wear that night – no pain at all the next day and the next, next day.

Lastly, I rode 26km on my road bike for the first time in a very long time so I expected my crotch area to hurt as well as my calf and hamstring muscles. The next day no pain in my legs but my butt still hurt from the ride. Though that’s expected since it’s a skin problem and I’m wearing underwear underneath the Virus bio ceramic compression pants.

Virus Performance Wear Biking

You see bio ceramic wear work best when it’s skin-tight. Making sure the Far Infrared energy waves travel the shortest possible distance between the infused fabric and your skin.

All in all, I am now a huge believer of bio ceramic performance wear technology. It’s something very new to me even now but it has proven to work without a hint of doubt. Because of this, I wear the Virus X-Form to sleep every night – and upon waking up, I go straight to the gym to work out.

If you’re interested in knowing which ones I bought, here they are:

Pants – I tried 3 different pants:

Top – I bought 4 pieces of the AU8X and one piece of AU7x

Of course, I won’t let you go without getting something from this post for your purchase. So you can use a discount code that has been given especially to readers of my blog:

Discount coupon code so you can have 15% off your purchase: PHILIPINES15

Take note that the word ‘Philippines’ is misspelled so that not a lot of people can randomly guess this discount code.

If you are serious about working out and you want to do it more often without the pain afterwards, I highly recommend that you get yourself a pair or two – even if it’s just for recovery.
